Drone meets Art

Courtesy of Pakistani-American artist Mahwish Chishty, the works juxtapose the MQ-9 Reaper (and other drones) with colorful, detailed patterns  evoking the truck drivers designs in Pakistan.

At once beautiful and fearsome, Chishty strives  to reconceptualize the machines of war into urbane objects:

I wanted people to think maybe what would happen if these drones were friendlier looking, instead of such hard-edged, metallic war machines.
