The Kiss

Not Munch, but one that surpasses in its beauty, nonetheless:

Via Arwa Abouon

I could gaze on this piece by the Libyan artist Arwa Abouon forever.

Although my official area of research is conflict and identity, I rejoice each time I squeeze art into the equation.

Deconstructing pieces and tracing the impact of history and identity in works from the early 20th century to the present day puts the joy back into research.

And when I do, I feel truly blessed.

Check out more of Arwa’s outstanding work, here.
