The Kiss, Transposed

This image has been doing the rounds and having caught it for the third time, I can’t help but share it.

Amidst the chaos and horrors of the ongoing conflict in Syria, art nestles; hidden at times, vociferous at others.

And in further instances, bold but nuanced, too.

The Kiss, originally by Gustav Klimt (1908), transposed from an Austrian canvas to a shelled wall in Syria, by the artistย Tammam Azzam, is but one example.
