Creation of Israel or Partition of Palestine?

As much as the snow has descended, so too have the deadlines; and likewise the snow, just as one batch melts, a new morning brings its subsequent deluge.

This week it has been marking and the current paper is intriguingly altered as the student has changed the set title from:

To what extent can the creation of Israel be understood as a consequence of British imperial policy?

to:

To what extent can the partition of Palestine be understood as a consequence of British colonial policy?

Subtle. Yet poignant, too.
