For Tomorrow, We Fly Eastwards

To Morocco, though for the number of days we have been packing one would be compelled to believe that we were relocating to Australia, circa 1910.

My mother is in alternating states of exhilaration and abject terror based on the impending “four hours in a speeding capsule in the sky” and my suitcase is suspiciously light.

With Jeffrey Eugenides tucked under my arm, my lecture humming in manner of a particularly pesky mosquito and a camera about to be used to melting point, I am ready to go.

Inshallah, WiFi allowing, I should be posting visual and lexical expostulations of what promises to be an utterly divinely scintillating city over the coming 10 days.

In the meantime, I wish all a belatedly splendid 2010 and bid adieu – for now.
