Palestinians in the Middle: Galloway Bad, Cohen Good

A nugget to ponder for today: two shows hosted by Respect MP George Galloway on the Gaza Conflict have conclusively broken broadcasting regulations since:

The “overwhelming majority” of content was pro-Palestinian and no phone calls reflected pro-Israeli opinion.

Contrast with the relative acceptance of branding an innocent Palestinian a terrorist on a global stage and what emerges is the all too common “do as I say, not as I do”.

While Ofcom also ruled that in matters of political controversy impartiality is a must, one can also raise issues such as the Palestine-Israel divide to a socio-political level, insofar as when it comes to the mass media impartiality must be ensured throughout.

Or not: either it is a free for all or not at all.
