If Music Can Be Pretty…

…then Regina Spektor is the Queen of the genre.

I first stumbled across Spektor back in 2005 and listened to the 2004 album Soviet Kitsch for the entire summer.

Literally, my entire office hours were consumed by Soviet and Emiliana Torrini’s Fisherman’s Woman (2004).

Back then Spektor was still waiting in the wings to emerge as the brilliant new songtress that she is fast becoming, and with ditties like this, it is all to easy to see why:
